''Sustainability is essential to delivering our business plan and growth profile, particularly within our increasingly global footprint. Environmental and social considerations are therefore embedded in our corporate values and commercial operations. Robust governance, transparency and accountability principles also underpin our approach across all areas of business.'' James Ireland, Chief Financial Officer, SANNE.
SANNE Group plc is a leading provider of alternative asset business services. The company employs more than 1,700 people across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
SANNE have recently published their 2019 Annual Report, which for the first time discloses their carbon footprint. We helped SANNE undertake this initial carbon footprinting exercise as well as provide strategic advice and input on the future policy direction.
We were impressed with the number of environmental initiatives and the proactivity of SANNE’s people across the world. The ESG section of the annual report (pages 46 and 47) provides a few examples of the type of projects being initiated by SANNE’s people. From building new schools to raising awareness on mental health issues, the projects are numerous and diverse.
An initial SDG alignment exercise was undertaken with SANNE, which has also been summarised in the Annual Report. This forms the framework for the organisations policy position, reporting and monitoring regime.
The Annual Report also discloses a number of key initiatives that the organisation intends to progress over the next 24 months. This is an excellent example of commitment to transparency and embedding sustainability across the organisation.
''Ditto Sustainability have been instrumental in us understanding the key sustainability drivers of our business. They took the time to understand our business model and aided us in developing our current environmental and CSR initiatives into an ambitious, yet realistic ESG strategy.'' Eoghan Gilmore, Assistant Company Secretary.
